International Women’s Day – Anitua Makes it Happen

March 8 is International Women’s Day (IWD).  All around the world, IWD represents an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women while calling for greater equality.  IWD reminds us of the many inequities that are yet to be addressed, such as male-perpetrated violence that affects tens of millions of women worldwide and severely impacts and sometimes prevents altogether their ability to lead happy, healthy lives and take their rightful places in the economy.

This year’s theme is ‘Make It Happen’.  Anitua is definitely ‘Making it Happen’ with regards to addressing gender violence both at work and in the broader community, as well as employing, training and promoting Papua New Guinean women.

Anitua Corporate’s recently promoted Group Marketing Coordinator Gladys Annis (L) is providing on the job training to her replacement Executive Team Assistant, Flora Moka (R).  Both high potential young employees are proof of how Anitua ‘Makes It Happen’ for their female staff.
